Making a Change Group is hosting a free financial literacy series at the Anson Building on four consecutive Tuesdays at 6:30pm starting on August 23. Email admin@makingachangegroup.org for more information.

The Shevlin Family Foundation is hosting Lotus Recovery Fest, an afternoon of fun, food, family and fellowship celebrating recovery in Chester. Our featured speakers this month were Giselle Cosentino of Garrett Williamson Farm and Rylan Good of Milton Hershey School, discussing opportunities for children to engage in positive experiences outside of Chester City limits.
Garrett Williamson Farm is located in Newtown Square; its founder was inspired to ensure access to the “country.”
They offer:
summer and school year programs for babies through teens
employment opportunities for older teens
group visits to visit their animals and explore their farm, helping enhance connections between people and the sources of their food
partnership with interested organizations to secure funding for busses etc.
