Our featured speaker today was Norman Brown, Jr., Community Outreach & Engagement Specialist for EDSI, who discussed workforce development opportunities. This meeting was timely as the community was preparing for a Career and Services Fair.
EDSI offers a variety of programs including
a carpentry apprenticeship
career and college planning for high schoolers
summer “career boot camp” for ages 11-18, in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce
GED support, anger management and other assistance for ages 17-24
EDSI is willing to go to any event or resource office to help present its services to the community.
