Street Soccer Helps Kick Off Delco Gives

From May 8-9, something extra special will be happening in Delaware County, PA, home of our organization and the children and families we serve.

Under the leadership of The Foundation for Delaware County, Delco Gives Day, a 24-hour county-wide day of giving/community celebration, will take place. According to the delcogives.org site, “Online activity will be accompanied by a number of celebrations held throughout the county that bring together nonprofits, donors, businesses, and volunteers to showcase the power of collective action and community giving. Delco Gives Day is more than just a fundraising event; it's a celebration of the Delco generosity and community spirit.”

Chester Upland Youth Soccer will facilitate a street soccer tournament at one of the kickoff events, the “Delco Gives, Chester Creates” Block Party. This free event will take place on the 400-500 blocks of Avenue of the States in Chester, and will also feature carnival games with exciting prizes, live entertainment including music and magic, and other free family fun.

In further support of Delco Gives, CUYS and sister organization Youth Development United are holding a minigolf fundraiser on April 26. Pre-registration for that will open April 1 at https://donorbox.org/mini-golf-outing-2 . All are welcome!
