Stetser Elementary School has been a CUYS partner since 2012. Approximately 45 Stetser students participate in our after-school Soccer for Success program each season, nurtured by our dedicated and impactful Site Director Jody Zamonski, our talented and caring Head Coach Freeman Dwamena, other partners at The Player Project, and a host of enthusiastic and helpful Widener University students who serve as Coach-Mentors.

Recently, at a ceremony celebrating its Lights On Afterschool programs, Stetser administration handed the microphone to some of its students in order to give them an opportunity to talk about their favorite extracurricular opportunities.

As you can see if you watch the embedded video, all three students mentioned soccer (as well as Design FC, an art program that was started by one of our soccer coaches five years ago.)

One of our Coach-Mentors who worked at Stetser last spring commented, “I loved meeting all of the kids and seeing how much they enjoyed the program. It was great to be a part of something that you can tell had a positive impact on a group.”

Chester Upland Youth Soccer is proud to help make it all happen, and grateful to receive feedback that the experience is treasured by all involved.
