Steel United Team Donates Soccer Socks
Members of Steel United's 2012 Boys Elite team generously donated 75 pairs of new soccer socks to Chester Upland Youth Soccer this season. Coach Ian Turner said, "I'm proud that our team is helping share access to the game that they all love."
Steel United Pennsylvania is committed to maximizing each player's potential on and off the field. Heather O'Rourke, Steel United PA's Assistant teams director and head of social impact said, “We are so proud of all our teams, but we absolutely love the fact that our 2012 Elite Boys team went above and beyond to make an impact to others off the field. A small gesture goes a long way and the 2012 boys have certainly led the way in making an impact to others in need. Amazing job boys and coach we look forward to continuing this impact on!”
Participants in CUYS' program also benefit from donations of equipment and financial support from the US Soccer Foundation, Leveling the Playing Field, the Foundation for Delaware County, The Community's Foundation, CCRES, and other sources.
