Willows Park Hosts CUYS Visit

The first Soccer Saturday of 2022 - and the latest chapter of CUYS’ Goals in Gardens program - was held this weekend at Willows Park Preserve in Villanova, PA.

Will Nord, Executive Director of Willows Park Preserve, graciously hosted the group, stating, “This park is free for everyone to enjoy. We are so glad to have the opportunity to share it with new friends from the other end of the county.”

Nearly 30 attendees enjoyed exploring the mansion and pond edge before playing soccer and having a picnic lunch in the meadow. Families expressed a lot of gratitude for having the opportunity to spend a beautiful spring day enjoying one of Delaware County’s most scenic parks and watching their kids have fun developing their soccer skills.

Boeing generously provided funding for the bus from Chester. Lunch expenses were covered by a fundraising event run by members of Strath Haven High School’s boys soccer team.
