CUYS Receives "Pay It Forward" Award at TCF's 2022 Community Celebration

On Wednesday, April 20, CUYS was among many with reason to feel proud and inspired. On that evening, The Community’s Foundation hosted its 2022 Community Celebration, honoring local organizations, philanthropists and scholarship winners.

Teachers’ Teammates won Community Organization of the Year, while Hope for Hallie won the Community Impact Award. Both have been valued contacts of CUYS.

The Community’s Foundation granted each of their awardees an opportunity to direct a "celebratory grant" to benefit organizations that serve the local community. One of the winners selected CUYS, and as a result, a $250 check is on its way to the organization.

"This is our favorite night of the year. At the TCF Community Celebration, we have the opportunity to connect individuals who are doing phenomenal work in the community. Every new collaboration and partnership makes Delaware County an even greater place to live," said Heather Finnegan, President & CEO of TCF.

In 2020, CUYS was named the Community Organization of the Year by The Community's Foundation. CUYS chose Lifewerks for its “pay it forward” award, as Lifewerks has been an important partner in helping address the food insecurity experienced by most of the families we serve.
